Meet the Cast

Darcie A. Hingula (Sarah) is honored to be part of this exciting new musical. Darcie has appeared in theatres throughout Kansas City including Spinning Tree Theatre (Girlfriend, 13 the Musical), Starlight Theatre (Wizard of Oz, Chronicles of Narnia), Theater League (Wizard of Oz), The Coterie (Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Charlie Brown Christmas) Musical Theatre Heritage (Sunday in the Park with George, Musical Mondays), KC Rep (A Christmas Carol), and numerous community theaters. When not on stage, Darcie loves playing ukulele, guitar, and piano and writes her own songs. Cameron Mabie (Joey) is a Junior BFA Acting Major at Missouri State University from Independence Missouri. He has worked in television, feature films, and on stage but his favorite credits are Moritz in "Spring Awakening" (Spectra Theatre Co), Robert Conklin in "The Rimers of Eldritch" (MSU Mainstage), Teenage Boy (playing opposite of Dana Powell) in the pilot episode of "Remotely Working" and finally voicing Pickle in the new animated TV show "Food People"! This summer Cameron Mabie will also be making his Tent Theatre debut understudying for the role of Hannay in "The 39 Steps"

 

Cameron is so excited to be back in his Kansas City roots to be in this beautiful new work playing Joey, and he hopes you enjoy!

Spencer Thompson (Evil Clown Joe)'s Kansas City credits include Billy Elliot (George) at Spinning Tree, Sunday in the Park with George (Boatman) at OCTA, The Holy Trinity (Jonathan) at Kansas City Public Theatre, The Family Continues (Steve), Spring Awakening (Hanschen), and Measure for Measure (Claudio/ Elbow). Spencer would like to thank his parents and Sally Farrand for their continued love and support.

TIM (CLARENCE) Tim is originally from SE Kansas, Tim has worked professionally in Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Colorado, California and Kentucky.  Locally, he has performed with The Coterie Theatre, The Barn Players, Martin Tanner Production, the KC Rep, Spinning Tree, MET, BRTKC, and The Living Room Theatre, where he also serves as its board President.  In 2018, he joined with Heidi Van and others to create the Black Box Theatre in the West Bottoms. When not working in theatre, Tim runs his own business, TDL Contracting Group, LLC and serves as the President of the Southtown Council’s Board of Directors.

Jasmine Mercedee` Lowe (Mama/Bonnie) has played some of her favorite roles when she isn't singing at church, teaching high school biology and chemistry, or swing dancing.  Her favorite credits include Hairspray (Motormouth Maybelle), the International Thespian Festival, and 1940s Radio Hour (Geneva Lee Browne). Jasmine is thankful to her family for all of their support and she looks forward to the success of ROAR!

Cody Boehm (Daisy) is so excited to join the cast of Roar! Originally from the DC Area, Cody has been performing professionally since childhood, doing theatre, television and commercials, as well as voiceover work. Since graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University in New York City, she has performed at such venues as Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and 54 Below. She has also been seen in numerous Off-Broadway and Regional productions throughout the country. Cody would like to thank the entire writing and creative team at Roar for trusting her with this incredible opportunity!

Brock Hatton (Frankie) is from Tyler, TX and has been living and working in Kansas City for the past 3 years. He has been seen performing in New Theatre: Buddy the Buddy Holly Musical; Musical Theatre Heritage: My Fair Lady; Houston, TX- Main Street Theater: Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley (2017 & 2018), The Wizard of Oz, Mr. Poppers Penguins, Shrek the Musical; Houston Grand Opera: Gotterdamerung, Madame Butterfly, Siegfried, Rusalka, Die Valkyrie; Unity Theatre: A Grand Night for Singing, Plaid Tidings; Bayou City Concert Musicals: Bells Are Ringing; Standing Room Only Productions: Assassins; Stageworks Theatre: It’s a Wonderful Life; and Taichung, Taiwan's National Taiwan Theatre: Gotterdammerung. Education: B.S., Texas A&M University, Biomedical Science.

Kirsten Nicole Myers (Lulu) is from Lee’s Summit, MO and is thrilled to be a part of ROAR! She has BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Oklahoma. Some past credits include Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Gabby/Bobbi in City of Angels, Grace O’Malley in The Pirate Queen, and a singer in the OKC Philharmonic Christmas Show. In her minimal spare time she likes to bake, read, and play a couple instruments. She is ecstatic to be in a live production after a year of virtual theatre, and she thanks Bodhi Theatre for making the arts a priority. Break legs!

Melissa Trierweiler (Female Understudy & Stage Directions) is an actor, director, and teaching artist and is so excited to be understudying the female roles in ROAR! Melissa, originally from Columbia, MO, moved to Kansas City after receiving her Theatre Arts degree from Stephens College in 2016. Melissa originated the role of Missie in Mirrors by Kaitlin Gould at Bodhi Theatre and later reprised the role when it was staged at KC Public Theatre. Melissa has also been seen in The Belfast Girls at Fishtank Theatre and in the Dramatic STD/HIV Project at The Coterie. Melissa wants to thank her husband, friends, and mentors for all of their support!

Fisher Stewart (Male Understudy & Stage Directions) is excited to be apart of this brand new work. He has grown up performing around KC including Starlight, New Dinner Theatre and Coterie. He would like to thank his friends and family for always supporting him. He’s ecstatic for you to see ROAR!
