VISION
Bodhi Theatre seeks to cultivate an inclusive environment that promotes the advancement of theatre artists, as well as an appreciation for the plight of others.
THE OWNER/FOUNDER

Athena Louise Hyacinth's combined passions for social justice and the arts informed the formation of the company in 2016. They have several years’ experience acting, teaching theatre to youth, costume designing, and producing new works of Theatre for Social Justice (TFSJ). They received their theatrical education in Boston, MA and currently work as a mental health professional in the Kansas City area. When they receive their Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas in 2024, they will dedicate their career to the integration of the theatre arts, mental health care, and social change.
